At the end of every session, we provide you with the opportunity to meet your child’s tutor and engage in a discussion about their strengths and areas for improvement. During this valuable conversation, we will devise a plan to address the identified weaknesses and nurture them into strengths.

For Year 5:
As an added bonus, we provide our Year 5 pupils Free Extra Lessons on a weekly basis, designed specifically to support them during the crucial last 10 months leading up to their 11+ exam.
We cover all the topics from Year 4, as well as extra Year 5 content. The value of these Free Extra Lessons would be over £800 if paid for!
These sessions provide the students at Broad Horizon with the opportunity to revise essential topics and catch up on any missed learning from Year 4 if your child was not with us, making this an invaluable opportunity prior to the grammar school entrance exam.

In addition to weekly feedback, we conduct several progress tests throughout the year to gauge the development of your child’s learning.
We arrange parent-teacher meetings after each test because we know it is important to keep you as parents informed.
These meetings provide an opportunity to have a more in-depth discussion in regards to your child’s overall progress in relation to passing their 11 plus exam.
With a maximum of 9 to 12 pupils in each class, we ensure that every child receives the necessary help and personalised attention they require to thrive academically.

Worry not, as we offer the flexibility of online classes to accommodate your needs, this is is to ensure your child’s 11 plus journey can continue without interruption.
Your child will receive homework on a weekly basis, including extra 11+ practice questions, vocabulary to learn and reading. All homework is marked and monitored by our tutors in the following lesson.
Your child will complete more than 30 GL Mock Exams throughout their 11+ journey at Broad Horizon Tuition.
Our GL Mock Exams are run strictly according to realistic exam conditions, providing your child with the confidence to face the real exam.
At Broad Horizon, our lessons are carefully structured to ensure effective learning and maximum value. Each session begins with 45 minutes dedicated to reviewing homework, where tutors address mistakes and resolve any misconceptions.
This is followed by the teaching of a new concept, with clear explanations and practice questions. Tutors then individually review each mistake, offering page-by-page feedback across all 11 plus subjects.
Unlike many tuition providers, we prioritise teaching throughout the full lesson — not just marking. Our tutors are committed to demonstrating techniques that genuinely support your child’s learning and progress.
